For the 2nd year in a row the Burlington Rotary Clubs got together to put a float into the popular Burlington Santa Claus parade.
Our theme was to communicate to the public what our clubs have collectively contributed to improve the lives of others both here at home as well as abroad.
We featured at the head of our float the “wheel Chair” designed by one of our clubs which is now being mass produced in Kenya at a price many more can now afford. Peter French, Director of International Service of the Burlington Rotary Club led that ground breaking project. We had Santa sitting in the chair.
Around the perimeter of the float we had signs describing many more projects undertaken by one or more of our clubs.
We featured our club presidents suitably ensconced in Muskoka chairs.
Our float was followed by the “Rotary Van”, that 4 of the clubs had purchased for our newest club, the “Burlington Rotary Gore Park club, which feeds 1500 plus, weekly in the Hamilton Burlington area.
