Rotary in action
The buzz in the room spoke to the vibrant conversations taking place between the non-profits and charities participating in the Community Connections meeting in September, 2026.
The Community Connections project is led by three Rotary Clubs in Guelph - the Rotary Club of Guelph, Rotary Club of Guelph South, and the Rotary Club of Guelph Trillium, who share the cost of the
meetings along with the administration involved.
Our thanks to the Salvation Army Citadel for sharing their space with us.
Over 53 organizations participated in the September 10 meeting, the fourth such event offered as part of this project. Each organization has a minute to introduce themselves - a challenge when you have
so many people there, but we do it. We then introduce two or three speakers who share their expertise to support the organizations.
Then the vital part of the morning, the participants are able to mix and mingle and connect with the folks they want to get to know better.
These Community Connections meetings, hosted twice a year through Rotary, bring the organizations together to foster connections and collaborations, and it’s working.
Since its start, we have learnt that more organizations are now collaborating together on projects, sharing space and learning more about what is available in the community to assist their clients.
And from a Rotary perspective, we are spreading the word of what Rotary is and does, and that together we can all make a difference in our community. It’s Rotary in action.
