We're off to a fantastic start!
Welcome to the start of a new Rotary year!
If this past week has been any indication of how the year ahead will be, we are going to have an exciting year together. We got off to a fantastic start with Rotary International President Jennifer Jones’ Imagine Tour stop in Toronto on July 5th. A big thank you to those that joined us at either the Kids Against Hunger Food Packing event in Burlington or the Imagine BBQ in Toronto – it was great to see you! And another big thank you to those across our district who spent months planning to ensure the day would be a success - it was, and your hard work paid off!
My waistline and I 😊 thank you for all the invitations to your club celebrations and changeovers in these past few weeks. I’m so glad I was able to participate and see leaders across our organization be recognized for their passion and commitment to service. To those who have wrapped up their year – congratulations and thank you for your dedication and commitment to your fellow members this year. To those that are taking on new roles – congratulations to you as well and thank you for taking on added responsibility. If I can do anything to make sure your experience is rewarding and fulfilling, please let me know.
If you were able to join us at District Changeover, you will have heard me speak about two things I’ll be very focused on this year – member experience and telling our story. If you couldn’t join us, please take a moment, grab a coffee, and watch this video. Everyone has an opportunity to contribute to making their own and other members’ Rotary experience’s amazing, and I look forward to hearing how you are doing just that!
You’ve heard me say it and I’ll it again, I couldn’t be more excited to serve as Governor for our district and at such a pivotal moment in our organization’s history. I look forward to working with all of you and am committed to providing you with the leadership, resources and support you need to succeed this year as we Imagine Rotary together!
