In June 2020, an exciting outcome reached in a conversation between the DG Michael Lawrie and the Director of the District Rotaractors Committee (DRC) Nagwa Abou El-Naga. The DG Michael Lawrie suggested getting the DRC members to join a number of the 7080 District Committees. Nagwa was thrilled that this short conversation with Michael led to implementing this progressive action.
The DRC Rotaractors will deliver their views to the 7080 District committees and bring back the District initiatives to their clubs. Therefore, currently, Anum Nazir joins the District Training committee and Gaurav Gujar, the Membership committee.
One of the DRC goals in 2020/2021 is to facilitate training opportunities to Rotaractors through attending the several valuable District training sessions. The DRC strategic planning priorities emphasize assisting Rotaract clubs in being vibrant clubs that attract and retain members. Rotaractors continue the strong collaboration between different Rotaract clubs to strengthen and grow Rotaract clubs, particularly in August, the Rotary Membership Month. Last but not least, opening many communication channels between Rotaractors and the 7080 District is aligned well with 2019/2020 DG, Lesley Barmania motto of “Together We Succeed.”
