Pledging to Save Children from Polio

With a month and half under our belt this year, thus far no new cases of Polio have been reported.  Members of Rotary District 7080 Polio Plus Society got together for a Polio update and to break bread together at a local Pakistani restaurant in Mississauga called “Aunty’s kitchen”.  MP Shafqat Ali brought a plaque for the society which was presented to our District Governor Brenda.  MPP Rudy Cuzetto also attended the event and recognized the great work being carried out by Rotarians in local and international  communities.

Restaurant owner walked the Rotarians through the origins and composition of the four course breakfast meal.  All in all, the society members enjoyed the warmth of the fellowship and tasted the authentic Pakistani cuisine on a cold Sat morning and pledged to continue saving children from the crippling effects of Polio till it’s eradicated.
