During a time where many of us are working from home and feeling alone, it is important we stay centered and healthy. One of the ways to do this is through physical activity. Did you know that just 30-60 minutes of daily exercise can help you stay healthy?
With restrictions put in place to stay safe and to prevent the spread of Covid-19, Halton Rotaract decided to hold their first Virtual Fitness Fundraiser to bring people together for an exciting workout while raising money to strength communities locally, and around the world. In collaboration with Be Strong Fitness instructors, Renee Durepos and Andrea Casco, Halton Rotaract held their first Virtual Fitness Fundraiser on Tuesday, December 15 th and had over 40 people registered online to Sweat for a Cause!

The fitness event allowed people to enjoy moving to a beat, toning all muscle groups by using one’s own body weight, condition and sweat it out with fun cardio moves.
Participants were able to feel connected with others throughout the interactive workout and after the event, together, we were a stronger community (both physically and mentally).

To continue this Health and Wellness Initiative, Halton Rotaract will be offering this event again in the New Year! Stay tuned for more details.
