The Information Technology Committee was officially set up as of July 01, 2025 and is composed of a Chairperson and the above members to carry out its duties.


Rotary IT Committee – Key Duties:


1. Digital Infrastructure Management
Oversee and maintain District systems access data storage, and collaboration tools to ensure smooth operations.


2. Technology Support for Events
Provide technical support District conferences and other events to ensure seamless experiences.


3. Data Security & Privacy
Implement best practices for data protection, access controls, and secure member communications in alignment with Rotary and legal standards.


4. Rotary Tools & Platform Training
Train members and District officers on tools such as Rotary Club Central, My Rotary, ClubRunner, Zoom, Google Workspace and social media platforms.


5. Automation & Efficiency Improvements
Identify and implement digital tools to reduce manual work — such as online registration, automated reminders, and digital forms.


6. IT Strategy & Innovation
Develop an annual technology plan aligned with the Rotary year goals, exploring innovations such as AI, mobile apps, and CRM tools.


7. Support for Membership Growth
Enable digital outreach strategies like online membership forms, website SEO, and social media campaigns to attract new members.


8. Content & Communications Support
Assist in maintaining email lists, distributing important updates digitally.
 

9. Cybersecurity Awareness
Educate members on phishing, data safety, and secure password practices to protect Rotary systems and member data.

 

10. Tech Volunteer Network
Build a network of tech-savvy Rotarians and youth volunteers to support Rotary projects, especially digital literacy, education, and virtual volunteering.
