Rotary Friendship Exchange is an International exchange program that its primary goal is to build greater international understanding and goodwill among Rotarians and their families.

Our Mexican Family visited us on October 31st to November 7th.  Eleven Mexicans from seven different clubs from district 4130.

We welcomed our Mexican family with open hearts, we hosted them in three cities Guelph, Milton and Burlington.  We taught them about our Halloween and a Canadian turkey dinner (Thanksgiving).

The Mexicans gave PowerPoint presentations in all the cities and exchanged banners. We learned about their service projects and started great lasting friendships. RC of Milton gave a ppt presentation to them that was wonderful, talking about past, present and future of Milton.

Brampton Club members invited them to see a hockey game. Our Mexican Family had the opportunity to skate for the FIRST time with the assistance of the hockey players.

Some of the places that they visited were Kidsability, Mountsberg, St Jacobs Market, Art Gallery of Burlington, Velodrome, City Hall, CN Tower, Niagara Falls, Butterfly Conservatory and Joseph Brant Museum.

I want to thank you all the Rotary Clubs involved in this RFE RC of Guelph, RC of Milton, RC of Burlington Central, RC of Burlington North, RC of Niagara
Falls, RC of Niagara Sunrise, RC of Bramalea, and RC of Burlington Lakeshore. It will be almost impossible to mention all the names of all the people that supported me. I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart. This was a team effort and without you I
wouldn’t be able to do it. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

Friendship exchanges are a great way to promote culture understanding, peace and service projects but the most important you build great lasting friendships.
